For these buildings, on my trip in California I was able to visit Rob Dyrek's Fantasy Factory, as well as the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood and a building on the set of Warner Brothers that was used in Spider Man. The final picture I chose is from Old Stone Church in my town.
The most important thing I'm looking for in this series is how you are filling the frame with design, and how the light is working in the focal point to enliven the picture. Do you see how in the bottom picture of the church it's in complete shadow? The fire escape shot could be interesting, but it too is in deep shadow.
